VELSN Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (1999) Submission
Upon the second review of the EPBC Act, VELSN submitted a detailed policy submission regarding the changes and recommendations that should be adopted upon the completion of the review. The EPBC Act's inefficiencies were highlighted during the bushfire disaster which started in late 2019 and reminded us of the greater need for regulatio and administration in this particular area.

VELSN Submission to the National Environment Protection Council's changes to the National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measures
The National Environment Protection Council (NEPC) is a body of Commonwealth and State environment ministers. They will be meeting in late-2019 to discuss proposed reforms to the National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measures (NEPM). This is one of the primary national documents governing air pollution regulation in Australia. On behalf of its members and executive, VELSN submitted recommendations on how to strengthen the monitoring and enforcement measures in the NEPM, and the introduction of a national Clean Air Act. VELSN Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988 (Vic) Submission on Improvements to Critical Habitat Determination and Endangered Species Conservation
The Victorian Government is reviewing the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988 (Vic). This is one of the main pieces of legislation regarding species conservation in Victoria.
